What drives the survey fee?
The fee moves with a few basic factors. Length is the decisive one: a larger boat means more compartments, more measuring points and a longer day. Type changes the figure too — a sailing yacht brings the rig into scope, a catamaran brings two hulls and two engine rooms.
Age widens the scope: on an older boat the moisture map, ultrasonic readings and the search for past repairs all take longer. Region sets travel and accommodation; Bodrum and the Greek islands are not the same line item.
Each of these determines the scope of a survey runto ABYC and IIMS standards — the price follows the scope, not the other way round.
How the calculator works
From the length, type, age and region you enter, it produces an instant estimate on the €26 per foot base rate. That figure is for a standard pre-purchase survey; if the scope changes — a hull survey alone, adamage assessment, or a tonnage measurement — the rate changes with it.
Once you have the estimate you can send it straight through WhatsApp. We reply the same day with the firm figure and the dates available.The fixed price is settled on the phone — a number given without discussing the boat is an estimate, not a quotation.
