How is the value of a used boat determined?
Value comes from three layers: age, make and length set the frame; technical findings move it up or down; comparable sales test the result. The output is a reasoned range rather than a single number.
Why it works this way
The report states which finding moved the value and in which direction — which is what allows the figure to be argued for rather than merely asserted.
