What clauses are essential in a memorandum of agreement?
The clause that protects a buyer is the survey condition: the right to withdraw or revise the price on the survey result, in writing. Alongside it belong the delivery condition, the inventory and a warranty of clear title.
Why it works this way
Without those, a payment made has little to stand on in a dispute — which is where most boat purchase disagreements end up.
