What licences and documents are required to charter a boat in Turkey?
Commercial use differs from private use not only in paperwork but in the standard the boat is held to: life-saving equipment, fire systems and the seaworthiness certificate are measured against a stricter commercial threshold.
Why it works this way
This is why the survey scope widens when a boat is bought with charter in mind. A shortcoming that would be acceptable in private use will hold up the commercial licence — better found before the purchase than after.
