Which measuring instruments do you use in a survey?
Engine ECU diagnostic tool (compression and injector tests, true running hours, fault history), thermal camera, moisture meters (Skipper 5 and Wetsoon Pro), ultrasonic thickness gauge, borescope, UV leak-detection lamp, sounding hammer and dye penetrant kit. The report states which finding came from which instrument.
Why it works this way
Each reads something the eye cannot, and none is sufficient alone: diagnostics reads the engine’s own record, thermal imaging reads heat under load, the borescope reaches what cannot be dismantled, UV finds micro-leaks, the hammer finds voids and the moisture meter finds wet laminate.
