How does surveying a catamaran differ from a monohull?
A catamaran adds the bridgedeck structure joining the two hulls, where structural fatigue has no monohull equivalent. Systems double as well: two engines, two shaft lines and often two separate electrical circuits.
Why it works this way
Both the duration and the engine room fee therefore scale with the number of engines rather than with length. That is worth knowing before comparing quotes between a catamaran and a monohull of similar size.
