Whose side is the surveyor on — is the report impartial?
The report goes to whoever commissioned the survey, but findings are not softened for either side. Independence is the only condition under which a survey means anything; we hold no commission relationship with brokers or vendors.
Why it works this way
Where the surveyor takes a share of the sale, the report becomes a sales document. What the findings show is what gets written — whether or not it suits the buyer, and whether or not it suits the seller.
